60年前 飛行機事故で水素爆弾が落下した現場

A thermonuclear bomb fell out of a plane, hit this spot in rural NC, and through sheer luck failed to detonate.

The military tried to dig the bomb up but couldn’t, so they just left it in place.

熱核爆弾が飛行機から落下し、ノースカロライナ州の田舎にあるこの場所に命中しましたが、運が良すぎて不発に終わりました。

軍は爆弾を掘り起こそうとしましたができなかったので、そのまま放置されました。

これは 1961 年のことです。このあたりの農家は、それ以来、衝突現場の草刈りを行っていません。

爆弾のほとんどは回収されました。大規模な捜索にもかかわらず発見できなかったため、まだ地面に残っているのは熱核二次核であり、それ自体では爆発することはありません。
