We can only hope that BQ 1/11 has the same level of lethality as its ancestor BA 5, this doesn't mean to just pretend it isn't happening. The risks of Long SARS 2 is very real and still extremely prevalent. Will be interesting to see how PAX holds up to these two beasts

Looking at the immune evasiveness, transmission advantage of the BQ1.1 variant and the urgency of normal carefree attitude among the population, I'd say that many humans will be BBQed if this variant takes off.
