The unusual spread of Monkeypox in Western countries may also reflect the same problem. Until more is known about the effects of COVID on immunity, it is probably better to be safe than sorry.

I believe from my readings that it is potentially worse than that. When the attenuated polio vaccine strain spreads it can convergently evolve back towards the dangerous wild strain or a dangerous variant thereof. But correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks this is interesting I heard an interview with an English author earlier in the week that a bout of Covid had reactivated a childhood disease and she woke up partially paralysed she has recovered, that interview was on the RN Book show Monday
