US Registers 1st Human Case of H5 Bird Flu

A person in Colorado has tested positive for avian influenza A (H5), according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The person was involved in the culling of poultry. "This case does not change the human risk assessment for the general public, which CDC considers to be low," officials said.
