It's hard to look at these variants and not be somewhat alarmed: BA4/5 are major recombinations with known spike mutation known to be massively awful and deadly in the other worst VOCs. Now they are taking off attention should be paid more than ever.

In my mind this is another Deltacron−as has been explained numerous times the variants very rarely come out of nowhere: rather they are often the result of recombinations with other variants: that's what gave us Alpha (very likely anyway)
