Epstein lived in a netherworld where normal rules don’t apply. How many more Epsteins are out there?
Forget how he died, the real mystery is how Jeffrey Epstein lived - committing acts that would get a normal person jailed, all while next to the world’s most-watched men. How did he create a protective bubble around himself?

Take, for example, Epstein’s financial career, the foundation for so much of his other criminal activity.

While doubts about his methods for obtaining wealth for his clients had been circulating on Wall Street for years, throughout that time he had been described, at face value, as a financier and a billionaire.

In the past several months we have discovered that he likely was no billionaire, and no one is sure whether he ever did conduct any legitimate business activities, or even where any of his money came from.

Yet, there was definitely big money involved, as is evidenced by superficially inexplicable multi-million dollar transactions percolating through a network of offshore accounts, and the very real luxury assets that he had accumulated.

But despite the United States’ reputation for employing the world’s most aggressive financial crimes agents, ready go well outside their borders, Epstein was never charged or even thoroughly investigated, while the world’s most reputable banks were happy to continue doing business with him until the past few months.

More glaring is the scope of his unpunished sex crimes.

This was not a relatively common-or-garden abuser like Harvey Weinstein, extracting sexual favors from adult women he had power over in a string of hotel room encounters.

Instead, Epstein was apparently the operator of an international sex ring, involving hundreds of underage “slaves” picked off from the school and the mall, transported across international borders, with the knowledge of each other, and what must have been a great multitude of bystanders.

Yet, Epstein was caught likely decades after he started, handed a notoriously lenient punishment, and reportedly allowed to continue his lifestyle while swatting away lawsuits.

Throughout all this, the convicted sex offender seems to have been treated with an odd laissez-faire lenience by the media, which is so fascinated now, but with the exception of several dogged local journalists, didn’t seem bothered enough to get to the bottom of who Epstein really was.

Even if Epstein hadn’t been a larger-than-life character, a close associate of formerly the most powerful man in the world, and his wife vying to fill the same position, not to mention a friend of Prince Andrew and Woody Allen, should have been a treasure trove for an ambitious investigator.

Yes, some of the allegations may have been difficult to prove, and journalists can’t be expected to sneak into the cargo hold of the Lolita Express, but at least since 2005 there has been solid ground on which to build a story. In a world where a single #MeToo article can destroy a career, Epstein was indulged like a disgraced Gatsby, holding court for New York Times journalists and boasting about his links to Mohammed bin Salman.

The greatest temptation for many now is to write this off as a conspiracy. That Epstein was a protected man due to his connection to the Clintons, that he was a front and a fixer for the CIA or Mossad, that anyone who got in his way, from investigators and prosecutors to journalists, was paid or warned off, perhaps blackmailed.

All other than Alec Baldwin should take a breath here, and now wait as more facts are likely to emerge, not least about Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s currently hard-to-locate partner, whose name has flashed up again and again. Though anyone hoping that a fully-formed color-coded scheme with arrows, circles and lists of crimes will ever emerge is likely fooling themselves.

But to me, a possibly more terrifying discovery is that there was no conspiracy, as such.

That simply through the power granted by his wealth and connection multiplied by the ability to lead an international lifestyle simply put Epstein outside the reach of the normal legal and societal constraints.

We already assume that plutocrats, the political elite, and celebrities live by different rules. But we are not talking about normal rich people indulgences: the yachts, butlers, and London basement pools.

This is Bond villain-level stuff. A private island with a secret temple. Plans to “seed” DNA into scores of women. Engaging top scientists for transhumanist studies to create a new super race.

If we’d learned that instead of grooming young women, Epstein’s hobby was transporting and hunting homeless people, would we be any more surprised? Would he have found it that much harder to get away with it?

We can tell ourselves that Jeffrey Epstein was a one-off, a uniquely cunning and depraved psychopath with the right connections. But it seems equally plausible that this opulent, global and lawless netherworld is capable of hiding other depraved transgressors, less publicity-hungry, and more dangerous still in their intentions.

The job is to try and stop them now before they die in a New York jail cell, leaving behind a trail of victims. But who has the guts for it?

US Comedian ‘Gets Death Threats’ After Trump Retweets His Jeffrey Epstein-Clinton Conspiracy Theory
Jeffrey Epstein’s death in a prison cell over the weekend has multiple conspiracy theorists questioning the decision to take him off suicide watch, just a week after he apparently tried to take his own life.

Terrence K. Williams, an American actor and comedian, says he started receiving death threats after President Donald Trump retweeted his conspiracy theory suggesting a Clinton connection in Jeffrey Epstein’s death.

“Ever since President Trump retweeted me, people have been sending me death threats, threatening me every single day, telling me I better watch my back,” Williams said in a video posted on Twitter.

He accompanied the clip with screenshots of messages he had purportedly received, saying “You’re next” and threatening to rape him.

Williams, a vocal Trump supporter, earlier made a video suggesting that Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary Clinton, are behind Epstein’s death because the late financier and registered sex offender “had information” on the ex-president.

Donald Trump disseminated this unfounded claim on Twitter, and the clip has been viewed by 5.4 million people so far. Trump later stood by his decision to repost the apparent conspiracy theory, describing Williams as a “very respected conservative pundit”.

Williams says that Facebook is now investigating whether his claims about the Clintons qualify as fake news.

“I am a comedian,” he maintained. “How can you fact-check a joke? I have never in my life heard about someone fact-checking a joke. What happened to free speech?” he inquired, asking Donald Trump to step in.

“They are coming after conservatives and Trump supporters because 2020 is around the corner and they’re trying to shut me down.”

He also encouraged users to support him by using the hashtag #ProtectTerrenceKWilliams, which is now among the top trending on Twitter.

Jeffrey Epstein’s Computers Seized in FBI Raid of His Luxury Home in the Caribbean (Video)
The raid comes as part of the FBI’s probe into former financier Jeffrey Epstein’s apparent suicide at in a New York City prison where he had been held ahead of his pending trial; he was charged with the sex trafficking of minors. The 66-year was found dead in his top security cell on 10 August.

The FBI has seized computer equipment from the late accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s mansion, which is located on a private island in the Caribbean.

Drone footage obtained by the CNBC showed at least two computer desktops and an Apple computer packaged and marked for transport during an FBI raid of 70-acre Little St. James Island, which was owned by Epstein.

Taking part in Monday’s raid were officials from the New York Police Department (NYPD), who are members of the FBI New York Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force.

CNBC cited an unnamed NYPD spokeswoman as saying that “the NYPD is a partner in the task force with the FBI that led to the arrest of Jeffrey Epstein last month”.

“The case remains an active and ongoing investigation, and the NYPD continues to work alongside the FBI in investigating leads − including at Epstein’s estate in the Virgin Islands. The NYPD declines further comment on an ongoing investigation,” the spokeswoman added.

The New York Post in turn quoted unnamed sources as saying that the FBI is in search for evidence to confirm claims by hundreds of women who accuse Epstein of sexually abusing them when they were underage girls.

Earlier, President Donald Trump demanded a “full investigation” into the circumstances of Epstein's death, while Attorney General William Barr lambasted the Metropolitan Correctional Centre, saying that there were “serious irregularities” at the facility, and that he was “appalled” after hearing about Epstein's death.

“We will get to the bottom of what happened, and there will be accountability,” Barr pointed out.

US President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani told Fox News that he doesn’t like conspiracy theories and that police should not engage in them because “we need to know the facts”.

He added that “the whole thing is completely incredible” to him, singling out many potential ways in which Epstein could have been killed.

“He could kill himself, prisoners could kill him because they don't like alleged perverts [...] And don't like people who might cooperate,” Giuliani claimed.

The remarks followed those by New York Mayor Bill de Blasio who said that Epstein’s death “boggles the imagination” and that “this series of events is way too convenient”.

Speaking to the news network NY1 on Tuesday, he suggested that all those involved could say that they were watching Epstein “like a hawk” and that they were going to “take every measure to make sure nothing happens to him or he doesn’t do anything to himself”.

Epstein was arrested on multiple counts of alleged sex trafficking and abuse of minors last month, with the Justice Department starting an investigation into his case in early 2019, ruling the non-prosecution agreement which followed his 2008 plea deal and 18-month prison sentence unconstitutional. He apparently committed suicide at a Metropolitan Correctional Centre cell on 10 August.

Epstein Kept 'Meticulous' Diary Full of Secrets of His Powerful Friends as 'Insurance', Media Claims

Jeffrey Epstein apparently committed suicide in his New York jail cell on 10 August − just hours after unsealed court documents named some of the world's famous and powerful people as allegedly being involved in his purported child sex trafficking scheme.

The alleged secrets of Jeffrey Epstein's friends could haunt them even after his death as the disgraced American financier is said to have kept a personal diary detailing his interactions with the rich and famous, including UK Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell, a British socialite and media heiress, as an "insurance policy", The Mirror speculated, citing unnamed sources.

"All Jeff ever had he bought, including his friends. He used his wealth to buy buddies and then bestow his money on those he courted. Jeff knew his relationships with the rich and famous brought him protection. He kept a diary in meticulous detail in case he ever needed it. One former congressman said there are a lot of people 'breathing a huge sigh of relief' now Jeff is dead. They should hold their breath for a long time to come. It ain't over", one source said.

The claim follows reports that court documents from the sex trafficking trial of Epstein revealed that Prince Andrew was named in a 2015 lawsuit, in which the plaintiff, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, alleged that the son of Queen Elizabeth II groped her when she was a minor at the financier's New York mansion.

Giuffre sued Maxwell, who was accused of being the "madame" for Epstein's professed underage girl sex trafficking ring, and claimed that she was used as a "sex slave" to perform acts with multiple famous men, including the Duke of York.

Buckingham Palace has dismissed "any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors" as "categorically untrue", saying that the case relates to legal proceedings in the United States, "to which The Duke of York is not a party".

Prince Andrew, who's eighth in line to the British throne, wasn't charged with anything back in 2015.

The case was settled out of court two years later, but documents still state "an undisputed fact that multiple witnesses deposed in this case" have testified that Maxwell "operated as convicted paedophile Epstein's procurer of underage girls".
Epstein's 'Apparent Suicide'

Jeffrey Epstein was found hanged in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in Lower Manhattan, where he was detained pending trial on child sex trafficking charges, on Friday night.

US Attorney General William Barr has ordered the FBI and the Federal Inspector to investigate his "apparent suicide" since it happened just days after he was taken off suicide watch. New York City's chief coroner, meanwhile, is convinced that the billionaire took his own life, but is waiting for the results of the autopsy.

The timing of Epstein's suicide and mysterious circumstances surrounding his death, including reports that prison guards failed to follow procedure and check on inmates every 30 minutes the night he killed himself, has given rise to multiple conspiracy theories, including suggestions that the financier believed someone had tried to kill him.

His apparent suicide came three weeks after he was found unresponsive in his prison cell with mysterious marks on his neck. It was not immediately clear whether they were self-inflicted, or he was assaulted in his cell, but he was reportedly put on suicide watch until 29 July.

The convicted sex offender was arrested on 6 July over numerous allegations of sex trafficking underage girls in the early 2000s at his New York and Florida estates. The 66-year-old, who served a 13-month jail term on prostitution-related charges involving minors in 2008, pleaded not guilty.

Minister says Epstein’s French connections must be probed despite prison death
Sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s connections in France need to be investigated by the nation’s law enforcement, the French minister for gender equality said. Epstein died in US custody last week by alleged suicide.

The US investigation into Epstein’s alleged sexual abuses of minors was undermined by the disgraced financier’s death in a US jail. But it uncovered enough evidence involving France that merit a national investigation, Gender Equality Minister Marlène Schiappa said in a statement on Monday. Such a probe would be “fundamental for the victims” and will also help prevent sexual predation in the future, she argued.

Epstein died in what the authorities called an apparent hanging suicide while being held in custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. He was charged with sexual exploitation of minors as young as 14.

The death may be a relief for many powerful people around the world, who allegedly partook in Epstein’s sexual predation dating back to at least 2002. Previously he was convicted for paying for sex with an underage girl and given an 18-month prison sentence.

It's not a coincidence that #Epstein's accomplice Wexner owned modelling agency Victoria Secret that gave him access to young girls with low self esteem, and if their self esteem wasn't low going in they tore it down. Nor is the link with Wexner & MC2 modelling a coincidence.

Report: Epstein Wasn't on Suicide Watch at Time of His Death
TEHRAN (FNA)- Disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein was not on suicide watch at the time of his death, according to multiple reports on Saturday, raising questions about his time in federal custody while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Several people familiar with the investigation told NBC News that Epstein was not under supervision when he killed himself in his cell in a Manhattan federal prison.

His body was found early Saturday morning and he was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, officials announced.

The New York Times, citing a prison official, reported that Epstein was in a special unit in the prison with extra security but wasn't specifically under suicide watch.

Epstein was behind bars at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in lower Manhattan over charges of sexually trafficking minors, to which he had pleaded not guilty.

His suicide comes hours after testimony from one of his accusers was made public in unsealed court documents, detailing the inner workings of his alleged operation.

Epstein was reportedly placed on suicide watch after an incident in late July when he was found unconscious in his jail cell with injuries to his neck.

Attorney General William Barr said in a statement Saturday he was “appalled” by Epstein’s death and that the Justice Department's watchdog would open an investigation along with the FBI.

“Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered. In addition to the FBI’s investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein’s death,” he added.

Epstein’s death: A mystery that may end up rivaling JFK assassination?
While the abrupt death of Jeffrey Epstein has triggered an avalanche of conspiracy theories, many reasonably wonder: What exactly did he know and how could such a high-profile inmate, supposed to be on suicide watch, end up dead?

Epstein was found unconscious at around 6:30am Saturday inside his New York prison cell, and was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. He had been on suicide watch after an alleged attempt to take his life on July 23, but was apparently transferred back to his cell about a week later.

Thus, the Metropolitan Correctional Center’s management, and the lapses of the American prison system in general, must share the blame for Epstein’s death, believes Julio Rivera, editorial director for Reactionary Times.

“He was taken off the suicide watch. This is wholly unacceptable based on the grotesque nature, and the charges, and the amount of the alleged victims,” Rivera told RT, though she admitted that prisons hardly have enough funds or manpower to keep suspects on constant suicide watch, no matter how high profile their cases.

This is a systematic failure by the American bureau of prisons.

“In the US, at least in federal custody, where this person was, and you’re on suicide watch – you are constantly video, audio monitored and in addition, you have one or more people standing outside your cell,” said political analyst Charles Ortel.

With Epstein now dead, what exactly could he tell the court and how many powerful friends of his might have had a sigh of relief on Saturday is a question that now bothers not only conspiracy theorists. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio called Epstein’s death “way too convenient,” and wondered how many “other millionaires and billionaires were part of the illegal activities that he was engaged in?”

The FBI has launched a probe into Jeffrey Epstein's death, while the federal prosecutor has vowed to continue the investigation into his possible accomplices. But Epstein's case has now turned into much more than an internal US issue, and the entire world “deserves to really understand what happened there,” Ortel believes, noting however that the full truth may never be known.

This is a mystery that will end up rivaling the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
