Biden, McCain Say Trump Damaging US 'International Reputation'
TEHRAN (FNA)- Former Vice President Joe Biden visited Senator John McCain at his Arizona ranch earlier this week as the Senator is recovering from his brain cancer treatment, during which the two reportedly talked about how the international reputation of the US is being damaged.

Biden recounted his visit in an interview with The New York Times, saying that McCain is "still concerned about the state of the country”, Biden said in an interview, adding that “We talked about how our international reputation is being damaged and we talked about the need for people to stand up and speak out”, The Hill reported.

The two men sat together for 90 minutes last Sunday, according to reports.

Biden’s visit comes after two of McCain’s closest friends, Senator Lindsey Graham and retired Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman, visited the Senator at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix two weeks ago.

“I wanted to let him know how much I love him and how much he matters to me and how much I admire his integrity and his courage,” Biden told The Times.

McCain, 81, has been in Arizona since December undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. He was diagnosed with glioblastoma last July.

Report: John McCain Confidants Told White House That Trump Won’t Be Invited to Funeral
TEHRAN (FNA)- Confidants of Senator John McCain told the White House that US President Donald Trump won’t be invited to the ailing Senator’s funeral, according to a new report.

Plans for McCain’s funeral, according to the New York Times, include an invite for Vice President Mike Pence, but not the President. The service will be held at Washington’s National Cathedral, Washington Examiner reported.

Former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush are expected to be eulogists at McCain's funeral, a source close to McCain told NBC News.

Trump and McCain have had an embattled relationship during the President’s time in the White House.

McCain, 81, is currently battling an aggressive brain cancer. He’s been recovering from treatment and surgery at his home in Arizona in recent months.

McCain’s daughter Meghan, announced Friday on Twitter that she was heading to Arizona to be with her family over the weekend.

She thanked her followers for their continued prayers for her family.
