Iran slams ‘grotesque’ meddling and calls for regime change by US through social media
Iran’s Ambassador to the UN Gholamali Khoshroo has accused the US of “grotesque” interference in his country’s affairs, and of encouraging regime change in the Islamic Republic. He also accused Trump of inciting “disruptive acts.”

As a wave of protests against poor worsening standards and unemployment gripped Iran, Washington was quick to throw its support behind the demonstrators. US President Donald Trump praised the riots “against the brutal and corrupt Iranian regime,” and said that the US was closely watching the situation.

US Envoy Nikki Haley even vowed to call for an “urgent” UN Security Council (UNSC) meeting on Monday to discuss the situation in Iran. No such meeting has been yet scheduled.

Tehran has continued to fire back at the US stance. Khoshroo condemned the American administration’s “acts of intervention in a grotesque way in Iran's internal affairs.” The ambassador said that Washington had meddled in Iranian domestic affairs under the pretext of support for the rallies, “which in several instances were hijacked by infiltrators to include acts of senseless homicide.”

“The current US administration has crossed every limit in flouting rules and principles of international law governing the civilized conduct of international relations,” Khoshroo said in a letter to the UN, cited by Tasnim news agency on Thursday.

Turkish FM: Netanyahu, Trump Supporting Iran Protests

TEHRAN (FNA)- Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump are supporting the anti-government protests in Iran.

Mevlut Cavusoglu was also cited as saying that Turkey was against foreign interventions in Iran, CNN Turk reported on Wednesday.

Cavusoglu said Turkey had not made any assurances to the United States in the resolution of a months-long row which had led to the two countries suspending visa services, CNN Turk said. It said Cavusoglu would meet his German counterpart Sigmar Gabriel on Saturday.

Russian Foreign Ministry Slams US over Protests in Iran
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Russian foreign ministry blasted the United States for supporting anti-government protests in Iran after Washington's envoy asked the world body to hold an emergency meeting on the recent unrests in Iran.

"No doubt that the US delegation has a lot to tell the world," Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Facebook account.

"For example, Nikki Haley can share the American experience of dispersing protests, tell us details of how mass arrests and the crackdown on Occupy Wall Street were made or how Ferguson unrest was quelled,” she added.

A day earlier, Moscow has warned that foreign interference in Iran's affairs would be “inadmissible" after US President Donald Trump called for "change" in the Islamic Republic on Twitter.

At least 21 people have reportedly died in nationwide demonstrations. Haley said late Tuesday that the US plans to call an emergency UN session in support of the Iranian protesters.
