鳥インフルエンザの変異に科学者が警鐘を鳴らす

Scientists sound alarm over bird flu mutations
The virus has spilled over to mammals across the world and could potentially transfer to humans, researchers claim

Health officials from Europe and the US are calling for international action to tackle the spread of avian influenza as fears grow that the virus could mutate and spread among humans. A number of mammals have been found to be carrying a mutated version of the pathogen amid the largest ever outbreak of bird flu.

The H5N1 virus has already killed some 208 million birds around the world. But the latest figures show there have also been at least 200 recorded cases of mammals contracting the disease.

In the UK, the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) reportedly found nine otters and foxes that tested positive for the highly pathogenic H5N1 virus. In the US, the disease was found in skunks, bears, a raccoon and a red fox. In France, the virus had spread to a cat and also caused an outbreak on a Spanish mink farm. The bird flu has also been detected in seals and dolphins.

Researchers believe these animals contracted the virus by feeding on dead or sick birds that had been infected with the disease. It’s noted that the virus found in these animals showed signs of a mutation that allowed it to infect mammals more easily. However, scientists say they have not yet seen any evidence to suggest the virus is capable of jumping between mammals.

Nevertheless, public health officials are now warning that the virus could continue mutating and gain that ability, and even learn to jump to humans. They have noted, however, that the risk to the public is “very low.”

Speaking to the BBC, Professor Ian Brown, head of APHA’s scientific services, stated that “the virus is absolutely on the march” and called for greater international action to tackle its spread. He admitted that the current outbreak carries the risk of potentially turning into a pandemic like Covid-19.

“This global spread is a concern. We do need globally to look at new strategies, those international partnerships, to get on top of this disease. If we don’t solve the problem across the globe, we’re going to continue to have that risk,” he said.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there have been some 830 cases of human infection with the avian influenza H5N1 virus in the past 20 years, 457 of which were fatal. The last five cases were confirmed during this latest outbreak, which is believed to have begun in October 2021.

UK health officials have urged the public not to touch any dead or sick birds. People are also asked to report any dead birds of prey, three or more dead wild waterfowl or gulls, or five or more dead birds of any species that they find to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

US must get over its ‘impunity syndrome’ – Moscow
Washington has lost its ability to use force on the global stage without facing serious pushback, a senior diplomat said

Washington shouldn't expect the world to forget that it fabricated its justification for the 2003 Iraq invasion, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told RIA Novosti on Saturday.

The Russian diplomat made the remark on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the now-infamous speech by then-US Secretary of State Colin Powell at the United Nations Security Council, during which he presented alleged evidence of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, including biological ones.

To support his case, Powell exhibited a tiny vial of white powder, which was supposed to represent anthrax, and told the council that the US had no other choice but to go to war. However, no weapons of mass destruction were ever found in Iraq.

Powell’s UN stunt “has long become the epitome of hypocrisy and the conviction of the US ruling elite in its own impunity and its unchallenged right to arrogantly teach the rest of the world,” Ryabkov stated. He added that it was also emblematic of Washington’s willingness to “use force against an obviously weaker opponent in order to preserve its own global hegemony.”

However, the diplomat suggested that – unlike in the 2000s and during the 1999 NATO bombing campaign of Yugoslavia – Washington could not get away with “international banditry” under current conditions.

“In the rapidly changing geopolitical landscape, the US is now objectively unable to resort to a use-of-force scenario every time it feels like it, without facing serious consequences,” he noted, pointing to the “humiliating flight” of US troops from Afghanistan in 2021.

However, as Washington’s “meddling” in the Ukraine conflict has shown, this setback has not stopped the US from embracing its old ways, the diplomat continued.

“The Americans will have to adjust to the new rails and get rid of the impunity syndrome that so clearly manifested itself during the [anthrax] vial scandal. The same applies to taking into account Russia and China, as well as other major international players that are shaping a more just multilateral world order,” Ryabkov said.

The US should not cherish any hope that “the memories of what happened 20 years ago would be buried in the shifting sands of modern history,” he concluded.

スウェーデンで何が起きているか見てみましょう。1/24/22の週は284,000人の患者がいた。2/14/22の週の死亡者数は358人。CFRは0.13%。22年12月29日の週は12,972例。1/23の週は415人死亡。CFR 3.2%。これは24倍の増加である
もちろん、この増加のほとんどは検査が全く行われなかったことによるものですが、COVIDの毒性が弱くなったわけではないと言ってよいでしょう。ハイブリッド免疫に優れた国は、おそらく地球上に存在しないでしょう。したがって、私たちがこの国で見ていることは、どこの国でも予想されることなのです。


また、もしこれが誤表示であるとお考えなら、過剰死亡を調べてみてください。 COVIDによる死亡者数よりかなり多いのです。 従って、年に数回、免疫力の低下に伴うCOVID感染/死亡の連続的な波が発生することが予想されます。
したがって、米国のような国では、過去9ヶ月間に基づいて、我々は予見可能な将来のために毎年年間20～30万人の過剰死亡の合計と年間10～20万直接COVID死亡を期待することができます。 きれいな空気は？
そして、もっと大きな波が来る代わりに現在のレベルが続くという仮定は、不当な楽観主義である。
その通りです。もし、回避能力を大幅に向上させた亜種が登場すれば、また大化けする可能性は十分にあります。

管理人のコロナその後 2

管理人の発症から10日経過しました。体温は、35度半ばから36度前半。たまに咳が出るがすぐ止まります。

できるだけ睡眠をとるようにしていますが、夜の9時ころに寝てもあまり睡眠が深くない。罹患前は午前1時半ころに寝て、朝7時ころに起き、しばらくブログを書いて朝の10時ころにまた一寝入りなどということもありましたが、今は眠れるときに極力寝る方針です。

最初は、ブログを書くのに情報源を読み通すことに負荷がかかりましたが、その辺はあまり改善していません。最近いろいろなサイトに掲載される情報が込み入ったものとなっており、簡単に要約することが難しいです。

そもそもコロナにしろ、ワクチンにしろ、政府の対応にしろ何をやっているのかわからない面があります。



今回の障害により、自らのブログ関係稼働時間を大きく減らすことにしました。

まだ原因は明らかではありませんが、過労が原因の一つになっていることは間違いないです。これまで風邪をひいて三半規管に障害をもたらしたこともありましたが、それが一回切り。そのほかにはインフルエンザや風邪で大きな障害を起こしたこともありません。

やはり加齢によるところが大きいです。ふらつきや頻尿などの身体面の異常が消えておらず、個人的これらの解消が課題です。

日本では、5類切り替え問題でコロナはもはや減衰に向かうという見方強まっているように見えますが、管理人には海外の学者らの報告を見ているととてもそうだとは思えません。

そもそも日本では感染の現状が正確に把握・報告されていない。それに感染した場合の診療システムが有効なように見えません。65歳以上は発熱外来へ行けとされていますが、救急車を呼べばよいのか、自分で受け入れ先を探して受診すべきなのかもよくわかりません。

そもそも65歳未満は、発熱外来を受診できるのでしょうか。おそらく一般の方は、どのような段階で病院を使えるのか、判断に迷うのではないでしょうか。

来週は、脳神経関係の医院のほかに、血圧関係の治療も受けようと思っています。
