EU: Operation in Northeast Syria to Undermine Coalition’s Efforts to Counter ISIL
TEHRAN (FNA)- A military operation in Northeastern Syria would undermine the international coalition’s efforts to counter the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, ISIS or Daesh) terrorist group, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said.

"Military action in Northeast of Syria would exacerbate civilian suffering, undermine current work of the Global Coalition against Daesh, and make prospects for the UN led political process to achieve peace in the country even more difficult," the EU top diplomat wrote on her Twitter page, according to TASS.

Scientific paper arguing Assad not responsible for Syria chemical attack shelved after Bellingcat-led backlash

Scientific paper arguing Assad not responsible for Syria chemical attack shelved after Bellingcat-led backlash
Unidentified “issues” prompted a prestigious scientific journal to withhold publication of a report challenging the mainstream narrative on a 2017 Syrian chemical attack – after ‘citizen investigation’ outlet Bellingcat objected.

The report, authored by MIT professor emeritus Theodore Postol and six other experts, concludes that the Syrian government was not behind the alleged sarin attack which killed more than 80 people at Khan Sheikhoun in April 2017.

Experts warned at the time that responsibility could not be so quickly determined, but that did not stop US President Donald Trump from launching 59 cruise missiles at a Syrian airbase in response. He was widely praised for the swift action, with even liberal media and his usual ‘resistance’ critics fawning over the display of military might.

A new study disputing the findings of US intelligence and UN investigators was due to be published in the Princeton University-based Science & Global Security (SGS) − but is mysteriously being held back following an “independent internal review of the editorial process” which threw up unidentified “issues” with the peer-review and revision process.

It appears that the so-called issues were only discovered after the journal came under a barrage of public criticism for daring to publish an alternative view. In a note on the front page of its website, the journal’s editors said “questions have been asked” of its decision to publish the report, which prompted the review. The Khan Sheikhoun attack − and who was behind it − has been hotly disputed over the last two years, with anyone daring to question the mainstream narrative labelled an “Assad apologist.”

Yet, the “only thing” that should matter is whether the report is “technically correct,” Postol told RT after the journal decided to halt publication. “This is a science based journal, and if there [are] any technical errors in it, they need to point them out," he said, adding the criticisms are coming “from people who have no technical expertise.”

That is likely a reference to the controversial Bellingcat, a ‘citizen investigation’ outlet funded by US, UK and other Western governments and foundations. Its founder Eliot Higgins has no scientific training whatsoever, but nonetheless shot to prominence over his “open source” online “investigations” − the results of which seem to fit perfectly with US and UK government narratives and are instantly caught by Western media. Higgins published a critique of the scientific paper last month and has previously branded the accomplished MIT professor an“idiot.”

"What's sad, is that a journal that's supposed to be dedicated to scientific enquiry and that is supposed to be dedicated to disarmament and arms control, is apparently being bullied or allowing itself to be bullied into political censorship and bias,” investigative journalist Rick Sterling told RT of SGS’s decision to halt the publication.
Evidence tampering?

The study, which was instigated by Goong Chen, a professor of applied mathematics at Texas A&M University in College Station, focuses on an impact crater in the road where the sarin gas was allegedly released. A report by the UN and Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) report concluded the crater was made from a bomb dropped from a plane, which would implicate the Syrian government. Chen’s models, however, suggest that it was formed by an artillery rocket with an explosive warhead.

Postol and Chen’s report also notes that a dead goat on the scene, allegedly killed by a nerve agent in the attack, could actually have been killed and dragged to the spot from another location. They point to the rope around its neck and markings on the ground that suggest evidence could have been tampered with.

The real irony in this battle of narratives is that, so far, experts have identified no technical faults with the new report − unlike the UN/OPCW assessment, which Postol said was “nearly impossible" to explain because it contains such “extraodrinary problems.” One of those problems, he said, is that while investigators said they found evidence of bombing on satellite imagery, the images in question actually show “no evidence of bomb damage.” Moreover, OPCW had no mandate to attribute responsibility at the time.

In spite of the evident concerns regarding the accuracy of the UN/OPCW report, its assessment has been held up as gospel truth in the mainstream Western media, while the Chen-Postol report is being attacked.

Postol said he believes it would be a “very big mistake” if the SGS allowed itself to be pressured by people with no scientific basis for their criticism, but added that he had “very high confidence in the integrity” of the journal.

Asked what he believes really happened at Khan Sheikhoun, Postol said he had “extensive discussions” about the incident with Seymour Hersh – the Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist, who exposed US atrocities in Vietnam and torture in Iraq. An article published by Hersh in June 2017 claims the casualties in the attack were actually caused when conventional explosives damaged a building containing chemicals and produced a toxic cloud.

Everything Hersh found is “exactly correct relative to the technical underpinnings," Postol said.

Mainstream media in the West has given little attention to the findings of Hersh, Postol or any of the other experts involved in producing the new report, preferring to stick to a predetermined narrative of Syrian guilt pushed by Bellingcat.

Kurdish leaders mull cooperation with Damascus & Moscow as US pulls troops from northern Syria
Fears that the US will do nothing to stop a Turkish military incursion into northern Syria could prompt Kurdish militias to negotiate with Damascus and Moscow, Kurdish leaders have signaled.

If US troops leave northern Syria, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) will be “forced to study all the available options,” Badran Jia Kurd, a Syrian Kurdish official with the SDF, told Reuters on Tuesday. He said that such a scenario could prompt the SDF to “hold talks with Damascus or the Russian side to fill the void or block the Turkish attack.”

His comment echoes an earlier statement from SDF General Mazloum Kobani Abdi, who said that he is considering a partnership with Damascus and its allies to fight Turkish forces crossing into northern Syria.

US President Donald Trump said on Monday that he would be withdrawing forces from the region – a move that comes as Turkey gears up for its anti-Kurdish operation. However, reports that the US has abandoned its Kurdish allies – considered terrorists by Ankara – may be overstated.

The US has merely pulled “a very small number” of troops from northern Syria near the border of Turkey, a senior State Department official told AFP following Trump’s announcement.

Turkey says it wants to establish a “safety zone” along the border between the two countries, arguing that the military operation will allow Syrian refugees to safely return home.

Syrian Kurds Resorting to Damascus after US Betrayal
TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Kurdish official said that the Kurds are ready for an agreement with Damascus as Turkey has ensured an impending incursion into Northern Syria.

Badran Jia Kurd, an adviser to the Kurdish-led administration in Northern Syria, said on Tuesday that agreement with Damascus is necessary to support people and play role in entire Syria.

He underlined the Kurds' emphasis on importance of holding serious talks with Damascus, and said they are ready for such negotiations and Russia can also play a role in this regard.

Meantime, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are angry about the US forces' withdrawal from the bordering areas with Turkey amid Ankara's threats to attack Northern and Eastern Syria, and noted that the US has stabbed them in the back by breaching its promises.

The unexpected announcement by President Trump that he would draw down the US military presence in Syria to make way for Turkish troops was greeted by the Kurds as a betrayal of the trust established during the fight, which has cost the lives of more than 12,000 members of the SDF.

For the Kurds, the decision to permit Turkey to invade marked the latest in a long history of betrayals of Kurdish aspirations by the US.

The SDF claimed on Monday that the Syrian and Russian army troops had been sent to Manbij region in Northeastern Aleppo as the US army is leaving the Kurds along in the face of an imminent attack by the Turkish Army and its allied militants.

After the US military troops retreated from their military positions and their security mechanism agreement with Turkey failed, the Syrian military troops backed by the Russian army are moving fast towards Manbij, the SDF wrote on its Twitter account on Monday.

No other source has confirmed the report yet. Damascus has not made any comment on the SDF claim either.

Kurdistan Region officials call on Russia to protect Kurds in northern Syria
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – In meetings with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Monday, Kurdistan Region officials urged Russia to step in and protect the Kurds of Syria following a US green light to a unilateral Turkish military operation.

Lavrov visited Iraq and the Kurdistan Region on Monday to discuss a broad range of topics, including energy ties.

Though the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has long been on bad terms with the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the Kurdish party ruling northeast Syria, Kurdistan Region officials took the opportunity to call on Russia to protect Kurds in Syria.

“President Barzani expressed his worries regarding the future of Kurds in Syria to the Russian Foreign Minister and asked that Russia play its role in case of any event or change to prevent further suffering and pain of the Kurdish people in Syria,” a statement from the office of KDP president and former President of the Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani read.

Former Iraqi Foreign Minister and KDP Politburo member Hoshyar Zebari attended the meeting, after which he hailed Lavrov’s visit to the Region as “historical” in comments to Rudaw.

“We expressed our worry frankly so that the conditions of the areas of Eastern Euphrates, as they call it, do not become destabilized due to any military operation," Zebari said.

"That is why his Excellency President [Masoud Barzani] asked Lavrov to use his influence to prevent any humanitarian tragedy or people fleeing from these areas, so that they don't affect the Kurdistan Region or its conditions.”

"The talks were good, and opinions were very similar,” he added.

On Monday, the White House abruptly announced that it would withdraw from Syria, following a Sunday phone call between US President Donald Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The announcement was labelled as a “betrayal” by many Kurds, as a US force presence in the area was seen to act as a bastion against a possible Turkish operation in the area.

Trump later defended his decision, telling Kurds to “figure the situation out.”

Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani also took the opportunity to discuss the fate of Syria’s Kurds in his meeting with the Russian FM.

“I underscored the urgency of developments in Syria [with Lavrov], and called on Russia to help promote a long-lasting political solution that protects the rights and dignity of all the Syrian peoples, including the Kurdish people,” read a tweet from Masrour Barzani following his meeting with the Russian official.

Russia plays a pivotal role in Syria. Along with Iran, they are the main backers of President Bashar al-Assad's regime. It is also one of the guarantors of the Constitution Committee, which is expected to begin drafting a new constitution for Syria. Few of the 150-member committee are Kurds.

Kurdish authorities in northern Syria have complained about their lack of representation on the committee, but Turkey has vetoed membership of the ruling Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) due to its alleged organic connections with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) - a named terrorist group in Turkey, struggling for the political and cultural rights of Kurds in the country.

Much like the US currently, Russia was accused of abandoning the Kurds in the face of a Turkish offensive against the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in Afrin in early 2018.

Russia's government has called on all foreign troops to withdraw from Syria, but it not clear what reaction it will have if a Turkish incursion takes place.

Kurdish Sources: Syrian, Russian Armies on Move to Manbij as US Withdraws Forces in Anticipation of Turkish Incursion
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Kurdish-majority Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) claimed on Monday that the Syrian and Russian army troops have been sent to Manbij region in Northeastern Aleppo as the US army is leaving the Kurds along in the face of an imminent attack by the Turkish Army and its allied militants.

The SDF also warned that any imminent attack by the Turkish Army will put irreparable damage and devastation on the entire region.

Meantime, al-Masdar news website reported that the Russian special forces in Deir Ezzur province have attempted to construct waterways from areas under the control of the Syrian Army to areas under the SDF control.

Meantime, the US Army troops retreated from their military positions along Syria-Turkey border region, including Tal Arqam base in the city of Ra'as al-Ain in Hasaka and Tal Abyaz, together with all their weapons and military equipment.

Damascus has reiterated that Turkey and US military presence in Syria is illegal and any foreign troop in Syria is regarded as an occupying force and the Syrian government has the right to take all the needed measures to confront it.

Addressing to the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly at UN headquarters in late September, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem lashed out at Turkey for providing "terrorists with all forms of support, including weapons that are more sophisticated", stating that Ankara's action undermines all agreements reached during the Astana talks in Kazakhstan.

"If Turkey is truly committed to the security of its borders and the unity of Syria, as it claims, it must choose whether to respect the Astana understandings and the bilateral agreements on counter-terrorism to secure the borders and to withdraw its forces from Syria, or to be the aggressor and the occupier – and to face the consequences," he noted.

On Friday, Muallem stated that Syria is resolved to rid the entire Arab country of foreign-sponsored Takfiri militants.
In a recent interview with Al-Mayadeen television news network, the top Syrian diplomat said “every inch” of the Syrian territory will be liberated from terrorists very soon.

In a relevant development earlier on Monday, the Arabic-language media outlets said that the Russian Army has reinforced its troops in the city of Tal Rafat in Northern Aleppo to confront the imminent attack by the Turkish Army in Northern and Eastern Syria.

The Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper quoted local sources in Tal Rafat city as saying that the Russian troops have increased their patrols over the past two days in a region located between the town of Shirawa and Deir Jamal towards Kashta’ar in the surroundings of Tal Rafat.

The sources noted that the intensified patrolling by the Russian troops in the region is carried out with the aim of reinstating ceasefire in Tal Rafat and after the Turkish Army’s artillery attacks on the surrounding areas of Tal Rafat from the areas under their control.

The English-language Al-Masdar News Website, meantime, reported that after Ankara’s recent threat to launch military operations in Northern and Eastern Syria, the Russian Army has increased the number of its troops in Tal Rafat.

Al-Masdar also said that the presence of the Russian troops is aimed at blocking the Turkish Army’s possible attack on the region.

Turkey is deploying reinforcements to the Syrian border following President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s announcement of a looming military operation against the US-backed Kurdish militants.

Military convoys have been captured in dozens of photos and videos, confirming the Turkish leader’s claim that preparations have been finalized to establish a so-called ‘safe zone’ on Syrian soil along the Turkish border and that the operation could be launched “as soon as today or tomorrow”.

Additional armored vehicles and troops have been sent to the border town of Akcakale, across from Tal Abyad in Syria, state television TRT confirmed.

Multiple videos shared on Twitter show dozens of military vehicles and buses, allegedly full of military personnel, moving towards the border in convoys.

Helicopters are also increasingly ‘active’ in the border area airspace, according to some reports.

Ankara and Washington agreed earlier in August to create a ‘peace corridor’ to facilitate the return of displaced Syrians into northern Syria – until Turkey realized that joint “land and air patrols with US were a fairytale”.

Erdogan even openly suggested that Washington was after a safe zone “not for Turkey but for the terrorist group”.

Neither the US nor Turkey bothered to consult Damascus, which has repeatedly blasted all their joint and unilateral endeavors as flagrant violations of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Also on Monday, the command headquarters of the Syrian Democratic Forces in a statement declared that the US Army has turned its back to them as the Turkish Army is preparing for imminent military operations against the SDF in Northeastern Syria.

The Kurdish-language Hawar News website reported that the SDF command in its statement on the latest development in Northeastern Syrian has underlined that the US Army has not fulfilled its commitments and it has withdrawn its troops from the border regions with Turkey concurrent with the Turkish Army’s preparations for attacking Northern and Eastern Syria.

The SDF noted that it will not hesitate to defend its forces against the Turkish Army’s attack on SDF’s military positions in Northern and Eastern Syria, and said that the Turkish Army’s attack will negatively influence SDF’s fight against the ISIL.

WATCH American troops & vehicles withdraw from Kurdish-controlled N. Syria ahead of imminent Turkish op (VIDEO)

A convoy of US military vehicles was filmed moving through the northern Syria’s countryside a day after Washington announced its troops would pull out ahead of Turkey’s “long planned” operation in the Kurdish-controlled area.

RT’s video agency Ruptly’s video shows a column of heavily armed vehicles, including a mine sweeper and cars armed with machine gun turrets, traversing a Syrian highway near the Turkish border on Monday.

Filmed in in Syria’s Tel Abyad District, the move appears to be part of the troop withdrawal, announced by the White House on Sunday. “United States forces, having defeated the ISIS territorial “Caliphate,” will no longer be in the immediate area,” the statement said, adding that the action was taken ahead of the Turkish operation, which it said would start “soon.”

Washington also said that the US forces “will not support or be involved in the operation” that Ankara seeks to launch to create a “safe zone” in north-eastern Syria, which is currently held by the Kurdish YPG militia. Ankara considers the YPG a terrorist organization linked to the PKK militant group operating in Turkey.

The two NATO allies have conflicting views on the Kurds in the area, since the US has been arming and protecting them for years – much to Ankara’s discontent. The Kurdish population is wary of Turkey’s plan to resettle some 3.6 million Syrian refugees in the future “safe zone” – which would likely mean the displacement of Kurds. However, their pleas for US protection from “invasion” and “occupation” have so far resulted only in a warning by President Donald Trump, who vowed to “obliterate” the Turkish economy if he believes Ankara does anything “off limits.”

Turkey ‘launches airstrike’ against Kurds on Syria-Iraq border – reports
Videos circulating on social media appear to show Turkish forces targeting Kurdish troops near Syria’s border with Iraq with airstrikes, just hours after the US announced it would be pulling out of the region.

Turkish forces launched airstrikes against Kurdish and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) positions in al-Hasakah province in northeastern Syria, according to SANA news agency, which initially reported there were no casualties from the attacks.

Turkish planes reportedly attacked SDF headquarters in Hasakah province, according to Saudi broadcaster al-Ikhbariya. Other reports suggest Turkey targeted the Kurdish YPG militia, which Ankara views as a terrorist group and which is part of the SDF.

Turkey’s presence in northeast Syria is only “temporary,” and Ankara respects Syria's “territorial integrity,” Turkish FM Mevlut Cavusoglu said Monday in conversation with his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif. Iran opposes military operations in Syria and called to respect its territorial integrity, Zarif responded.

Trump threatens to OBLITERATE Turkey’s economy if it does ‘anything off limits’
In a fairly blunt warning to the NATO ally, US President Donald Trump vowed to “obliterate” the Turkish economy if he thinks it’s stepped out of line in Syria. He then told Ankara to “watch over” ISIS fighters in the US’ absence.

“If Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!)” the president threatened via tweet on Monday – an odd turn of phrase for what otherwise seemed like a dire warning to a supposed ally.

Trump called for Turkey to join “Europe and others” in “watch[ing] over the captured ISIS [Islamic State] fighters and families” just hours after announcing the US would finally pull out of northern Syria on Monday. The announcement triggered howls of fury from hawks in Congress and the media, as well as sudden experts in Middle Eastern politics who cried that leaving Syria would abandon the Kurds to be torn apart by Turkey.

The Pentagon “does not endorse a Turkish operation in Northern Syria,” a Pentagon statement issued on Monday clarified, stating “the US Armed Forces will not support, or be involved in any such operation.”

It warned that “unilateral action creates risks for Turkey” and advised the country to work in cooperation with its NATO allies, lest the region be “destabilized.”

While Turkey considers the Kurdish YPG militia an extension of the banned terrorist group PKK, the US has been arming and protecting the Kurds for years – and, as Trump pointed out in his earlier announcement, paying them “massive amounts of money and equipment.”

The Kurds have begged for US protection from Turkish “invasion” and “occupation,” wary of Ankara’s plans to resettle some 3.6 million Syrian refugees currently living in Turkey in a “safe zone” in the northeast. While Turkey had originally negotiated with the US regarding the creation of the safe zone, Ankara warned last month that if Washington continued to stall the process it would establish the zone alone. Damascus, meanwhile, has slammed both states as illegal occupiers.

The US has repeatedly clashed with its NATO ally Turkey over its refusal to toe the line by alienating US rivals. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared last month that he has no intention to stop purchasing oil and natural gas from Iran despite the increasingly draconian sanctions imposed by Washington, and refused to cancel the purchase of Russian S-400 missile defense systems despite US threats of sanctions and kicking Turkey out of the F-35 fighter jet program.

Pullout or ‘short-distance move’? Reports claim US troops hardly ‘left’ Syria & airspace still ‘under control’
US President Donald Trump’s decision to pull troops out of northern Syria has polarized Washington, but according to some senior officials, it’s not the full-scale retreat ceding the territory to the Turks it’s being portrayed as.

The US has merely pulled “a very small number” of troops from northern Syria near the border of Turkey, a senior State Department official told AFP on Monday following Trump’s surprise declaration of the pullout.

“Two very small detachments” - less than 25 people - have been moved back “a very short distance,” the source continued.

“There’s no change to our military posture in the northeast” of Syria beyond that tiny troop movement, the source insisted, adding that the US still controls the airspace in the northeast region of the country - a far cry from the wholesale abandonment of the region Washington’s hawks have been wailing about all morning. Pro-war politicians from Senator Lindsay Graham to former UN ambassador Nikki Haley slammed President Trump’s “betrayal” of the Kurds, whom the US has been backing - and bankrolling - in an effort to maintain a foothold in Syria.

Both the State Department and the Defense Department have emphasized in statements that they do not support any Turkish incursion into northern Syria “in any shape or form.” The Pentagon has warned Turkey against acting unilaterally, lest it “destabilize” the already war-torn region.

But whether the US will actually respond to Turkey pushing the Kurds, whom Ankara considers to be a terrorist group, back from the border with heavy artillery is another matter entirely.

If America was the America portrayed in the media & schools it would:

Broker a reconciliation between the Kurds & Assad.

Voluntarily withdraw all troops from its illegal occupation of Syria & told Turkey to do the same.

Help Russia & Syria defeat the terrorists.

Don't forget that Trump, on the campaign trail in 2016, said U.S. should help Russia & Syria defeat the al-Qaeda & ISIS terrorists because Russia was doing a great job (it is).

Trump also said he was going to end the Neocon Wars & improve relations with Russia.

So what changed?

Washington’s decision to withdraw from #Syria has not come as surprise to leadership in Damascus. If there was any doubt at all, it was only about the timing but never about the decision itself. Kurdish leadership did not see it this way & will now have to deal with consequences

To all those liberal "anti-imperialists" who support the US occupation of #Syria, like Noam Chomsky and @ilhan
, who are on Lindsey Graham's side, crying crocodile tears for Israel's sake. Your treason will not be forgot. You will never live this down.

Turkey just began in Syria the world's largest ethnic cleansing campaign in which it plans to replace the multi-ethnic population there with radical jihadis and their families! We hold the UN responsible for this crime.

US begins pulling out from Turkish border areas in Syria – Kurdish forces
US troops have begun pulling out from parts of eastern Syria targeted by Turkey for a new military incursion, according to the SDF, the US-backed Kurdish force, which is in Ankara’s crosshair.

Turkey considers Kurdish militias in Syria an extension of its domestic Kurdish guerrillas. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which was a US ally in the fight for northeastern Syria, is predominantly Kurdish, so Ankara sees them as terrorists.

Turkey has been threatening to launch a military campaign against Syrian Kurds, saying it is necessary to secure a safe zone along the border. The US failed to convince its NATO ally otherwise and is now moving out of the way.

According to the Kurdish Hawar news agency, the US troops left their positions in the towns of Ras al-Ayn and Tal Abyad on Monday.

“The American forces did not fulfill their commitments and withdrew their forces from the border areas with Turkey, and Turkey is now preparing for an invasion operation of northern and eastern Syria,” the SDF said in a statement.

The Kurds reiterated that the Turkish operation may facilitate resurgence of the terrorist group Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS), which was SDF’s primary opponent in the fight for northeastern Syria.

Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan said his US counterpart assured him on Sunday evening that the withdrawal of US troops was imminent. The White House previously reported the phone call between the two leaders, saying it will not be involved in the Turkish operation in any way.

‘Time to get out of these ridiculous endless wars’: Trump orders US pullback from Syrian border before Turkish operation begins

It’s time for the US to “get out of ridiculous endless wars,” President Donald Trump said ahead of a withdrawal of US troops from border areas in northeastern Syrian as the Turkish military prepares for an anti-Kurdish incursion.

“The United States was supposed to be in Syria for 30 days, that was many years ago. We stayed and got deeper and deeper into battle with no aim in sight,” Trump said in a Twitter thread on Monday just as US troops stationed in northeastern Syria were reportedly pulling back from their positions.

Trump claimed credit for “quickly” defeating the terrorist group Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in Syria before explaining why he apparently chose to abandon Kurdish militias, who fought that battle with US air and artillery support, in their stand-off with Turkey.

“The Kurds fought with us, but were paid massive amounts of money and equipment to do so. They have been fighting Turkey for decades. I held off this fight for almost 3 years, but it is time for us to get out of these ridiculous Endless Wars, many of them tribal, and bring our soldiers home,” he said.

“Turkey, Europe, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Russia and the Kurds will now have to figure the situation out, and what they want to do with the captured ISIS fighters in their ‘neighborhood.’ They all hate ISIS, have been enemies for years. We are 7000 miles away and will crush ISIS again if they come anywhere near us!” the US president added.

Trump also complained about US’ failure to take responsibility for trying and jailing its citizens who went to Syria to join IS and were later captured by the Kurds. The US will not be a “sucker” to Europe on any issue, Trump declared.

Russian Army Reinforces in Aleppo to Block Ankara’s Possible Attacks
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Russian Army has reinforced its troops in the city of Tal Rafat in Northern Aleppo to confront the imminent attack by the Turkish Army in Northern and Eastern Syria, the Arabic-language media outlets said.
