President: US Should Leave Manbij in Syria, Turkey Will Return It 'to True Owners'
TEHRAN (FNA)- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned the US once again to withdraw from the Syrian city of Manbij, saying that Turkish forces aim to return the city “to its true owners”.

Speaking at a meeting of his ruling AK Party in parliament on Tuesday, Erdogan said that countless terrorists had been“rendered inactive” by the recent Turkish offensive in Afrin, RT reported.

Vowing that the operation would continue, he mocked Washington's criticisms, saying “When are you going to finish with us asking the question, when did you finish your operations in Afghanistan? When did you finish your operations in Iraq? It's been 18 years."

Kurdish Commander: US Not to Allow Turkish Army to Enter Manbij
TEHRAN (FNA)- A Commander of the People's Protection Units (YPG) said that the US is to provide support for his forces in the town of Manbij in Northern Aleppo despite Ankara's warning to Washington about the Turkish army's imminent operation in the Kurdish-held town.

Al-Sharq al-Awsat daily quoted Siban Hamou as saying that Washington has informed the YPG forces that it will not allow the Turkish army and Ankara-backed militants to enter Manbij.

He further said that the Turkish army had supposed at the beginning of its military operation in Northern Syria that it will materialize its military objectives in a few days but now after over two weeks the Ankara forces have not gained any of their desired results.

Hamou went on to say that the Kurds have thus far destroyed over 10 tanks of the Turkish army and a larger number of tanks that were operating under the Ankara-backed militants, adding that Damascus has provided the Kurds with medical, rescue and humanitarian aids.

A Turkish media outlet reported on Monday that the US forces planed to help the Kurds in the town of Manbij in Northeastern Aleppo to build bomb-proof tunnels to resist against the Turkish Army's possible attack on the town.

The Turkish-language Yeni Safak daily reported that the US forces were planning to build modern tunnels in the Kurdish-held town of Manbij in Northeastern Aleppo after the Kurdish forces' US-built tunnels in the town of Afrin in Northwestern Aleppo were destroyed in the Turkish troops' attacks.

The daily said that the new tunnels were capable of resisting against cement-piercing bombs, adding that identifying the exact location of the tunnels was not simply possible too.

US Sending Arms to Kurds in Syria
TEHRAN (FNA)- The US has continued to provide the Kurds in Northeastern Syria with arms and ammunition despite Ankara's warnings and Washington officials' statements claiming that their support for the Kurdish forces has come to a halt, a Turkish media outlet reported on Tuesday.

Kurdistan 24 tv network reported on Sunday night that a US military column entered Syria via Iraqi border and arrived in the Kurdish-held regions.

Also, the Turkish-language Daily Sabah said that the US convoy arrived in the town of Qamishli in Northeastern Syria after crossing Fish Khabour Iraqi border-crossing that is now under Iraqi Kurdistan forces.

Relevant reports said last month that Washington provided the Kurdish fighters operating in Syria, man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) within the framework of the secret agreement.

The US had provided the MANPADS to the Kurdish forces in January under the agreement between Washington and Kurds.

According to the news outlet, the MANPADS were delivered to the Kurds in the Northwestern part of Syria near the town of Afrin.

Corbyn Hits Back at Trump After UK Healthcare Jibe
TEHRAN (FNA)- UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn hit back a US President Donald Trump’s jibe that Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) was “going broke and not working.”

On Monday, Trump used an NHS rally attended by a large group of people in London to attack Democrats and their resistance against the Republican desire to repeal the Affordable Care Act, former President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law, presstv reported.

“The Democrats are pushing for Universal HealthCare while thousands of people are marching in the UK because their U system is going broke and not working. Dems want to greatly raise taxes for really bad and non-personal medical care. No thanks!,” Trump tweeted.

The statement did not go down well with Corbyn, who took to twitter and confronted Trump.

“Wrong. People were marching because we love our NHS and hate what the Tories are doing to it. Healthcare is a human right,” he stressed.

A main opponent of UK Prime Minister Theresa May’s NHS policies, Corbyn has repeatedly criticized May’s lacking policies in addressing the issues plaguing the severely under-budgeted.

In early January, he accused May of being “too weak” to sack underperforming members of her cabinet, including her health secretary Jeremy Hunt.

"We know the Prime Minister recognizes there's a crisis in our NHS because she wanted to sack the Health Secretary last week but was too weak to do it,” Corbyn said as he traded barbs with May in a raucous debate in the first Prime Minister's Questions of 2018 at the House of Commons.

Earlier, the British PM’s office also reacted to Trump’s attack on NHS, saying May was “proud of having an NHS that is free at the point of delivery.”

“NHS funding is at a record high and was prioritized in the Budget with an extra £2.8 billion,” the Spokesman noted, adding that a recent Commonwealth Fund international survey had rated the British healthcare system as “the best in the world; for a second time.”

Due to heavy Democratic opposition, Trump and the Republicans have so far failed to deliver on one of his main campaign promises, which was replacing the Obamacare with what he calls a fairer healthcare system that is not mandatory.
